A Word From Skeeter
Skeeter
Howdy, Baxter County!
Saturday is stacked. Runners kick it off at the high school, the Fly Fishing Film Tour lights up a big screen under the Cotter Bridge that evening, and the owls get the last word on Big Bluff. Squeeze in a Bavarian chicken dinner in Bull Shoals or a Narnia matinee at MHHS, then let Sunday be a slow lake drive. Fall looks good on us.

Skeeter's Pick of the Week
Owl Prowl Hike on Big Bluff Trail
Skeeter recommends: Go looking for owls after dark. A park interpreter leads this free walk on the Big Bluff Trail at Bull Shoals–White River State Park to listen and look for the park's night hunters. The trail is rocky and uneven, so wear good shoes and bring a flashlight. Want a head start? The free Owls: Superheroes of the Forest talk that afternoon (2–2:30 p.m., Campground Amphitheater) covers which owls live in the park and why they're such good hunters.
